Okay, so all my Lady Parts stood up to attention at this book. The Uber alpha male is a particular vice of mine. I love em.

This was more of an erotic tale with a bit suspense that was building for the entire book, but Derek's possessive, jealousness more than made up for it. This was very easy to read and although there wasn't much dialogue, the inner thinking of their brains was humorous and endearing.

Derek was an all brawn cop, arrogant but oh so yummy. he was no nonsense tough Chicago Policemen. -yum!  No enough handcuff play for me!!  

ok so our heroine was slightly damaged although there was no moping which was so refreshing. Her relationship with her sister was quick witted and realistic.

Would recommend this to anyone who loves a Alpha male in uniform.. sometimes.

Review of the fault in our stars by John Green

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten.

Ok, so I watched the film first before reading the book, but for once in a long time I just wanted to not completely know the ending. 

I loved the film. I could very easily sobbed, screamed and thrown a complete tantrum. Amazing. So naturally I thought I'd read the book. I am glad that I watched the film first. 

Don't get me wrong the book is just as amazing, which I find so rare. I'm always saying "the book was better" 

John Green has captured something so rare in a book. Although this book is predominantly about dying, it's kind of had the opposite affect on me. It made me feel so much and some things weren't always positive, BUT I have never felt so much in one book before. To me that is a sign of a good book.

I am honestly disgusted by some of the reviews on here where people have been cyber bullied. Seriously, are you freaking kidding me. People opinions are their own, not everyone will like this book. Get over yourselves.

 Ok good book, recommend to everyone that wants to feel so much...

Review of Her Tattooed Fighter by Jenika snow

A short sexy little read by Jenika Snow, about a man whoring inked up fighter, who has wanted the trainers daughter for a long time. Inviting her to a party, hoping that she feel the same the story trots along nicely. The fight scenes were well choreographed nicely, and the sex was steamy.  

London was a yummy possessive man who I instantly loved. 

Jenika Snow is fastly becoming a favourite author of mine.

"Yeah, I am pretty fucking drunk, baby." Her heart sank. "But I'm not drunk em ought that I don't realise that the girl in front of me is the one that I've wanted for a long fucking time, but have been too much of a pussy to approach. Or that the girl that I am grinding this hard-on against is the one that will probably have me getting my ass kicked by her dad and a big-ass Russian." 

Looking forward to the big-ass Russians story next. 

Review of The Gladiators Honour by Michelle Styles

This story takes place in a villa in ancient Rome at the time of Julius Caesar. Julia, relative of Caesar, divorced her creepy husband Lucius because he abused her. This was quite a scandal!! Back living with her disappointed father and step mother, Julia all but waits for something to make her feel alive.. 

Enter Valen. A Sexy, tortured, honourable, Muscled Gladiator...

He has been sent to stay with Julia's Family whilst the Arena Games in Rome are being prepared. Having been a gladiator for 5 years, he is destined to fight his last fight as a slave in the arena, with liberty within his reach he doesn't need to distractions. 

Julia is drawn toward the brawny brute, and the forbidden passion he invokes with her.

Through a series of challenging events, dangerous ex-husbands and interfering friends and family, this delightful historical romance was one of the best I've read in a long time. Erotic Romance from Ancient Rome is becoming a bit of an obsession of mine and this did not disappoint. 

The characters were engaging and the story line imaginative. I especially liked the gripping gladiatorial fights!

Overall, styles does a great job of keeping the reader engaged to the very end. This is a great book for anyone who like their Romance Erotica light hearted and vanilla. 

Review of A forever Love by Kelly Elliott

A forever love is about garret and emma. They are the grandparents to the future couples in the books.

Garret and emma have an insta love, which I often feel makes for an unbelievable plot, but the chemistry between Garret and Emma was gorgeous.

There really isn't much plot. They fall in love, marry and get pregnant. What happens in between these events is normal life, albeit full of passion. 

A great story which I adored. Garret is my new book boyfriend. .. yummy

Review of Mating Heat by Laurann Dohner

Alpha: to the max.

Genre: Shifter, romance

This story is about Charma & Brand. Brand is a wolf shifter, but Charma is a half human, half cat shifter.  They were lovers in college however Charma's family have an arrangement with her pride alpha. Charma is to mate Garret, a nasty, spineless violent man & the son of the alpha. Her parents were in a car accident and were severely wounded. In the pride they are considered weak and a liability and therefore termed for death. 

Charma left Brand for nine years, however because of events from the previous books Brand is in trouble with the cat pride.

Seeing that her first and only love is in trouble Charma flees her pride and seeks out Brand.  Once rekindled its like the nine years haven't happened. Brand is determined to mate Charma, however Charma's pride are spoiling for a fight and don't care who gets in the middle...

I am a huge Laurann Dohner fan. I have read everyone of her books. The Mating heat series is my least favourite,  however this book has completely changed my mind. 

I like my shifter romance to be easy, typical. I have pretty much exhausted my shifter romance and find it difficult to find something new. This was typical and traditional. The romamce was believable and the sex was HOT!!  
A great story.  5 stars..

Review of Fifty Shades Darker by E L James

Alpha Male: to the max!!! 

The intense second instalment in the Fifty Shades series is just as great as the first. In the end of the last book we see Ana leaves Christian. She's Scared of him and what he his capable of. She's also afraid that he can't love her. Understandable.. he is fifty shades of fcuked up. 

In Fifty Shades Darker, Ana and Christian resume their 'relationship' on the promises of "more". When Ana leaves something clicks in Christian and he can't bear for her to be away from him. Then a new threat of an Ex Sub, Leila, ruins was very little peace they had. He's overprotective and overbearing and at times heartbreaking. 

It's quite surprising how much of this story is everyday situations made extraordinary by both Christian, his wealth and his reactions to Ana's 'disobedience', for example, she wants to go to New York for a work related trip, he orders the company to stop employees at that level go. Considering he just bought the company... that she work's at.. not a coincidence.

My Favourite part is in chapter 13 and 14. Christian has just subdued Leila. Ana comes to the conclusion that he enjoyed still having power of Leila, and maybe he does. Ana sees dominant Christian in all his glory and second guesses his ability to not hurt her in the future. She tries to express her feelings, but he feels she about to leave him again and he breaks. He becomes a bit of a husk. It's quite awful to read really. he's such an opposing character... and that's when I fell in love with the character of Christian Grey. 

Of course, my other favourite part is Christian's birthday party. the Lemon Martini thrown all over Elena.. at Last!!!

I would recommend this to Hopeless Romantics and those in the mood to be blown away by such an intense book.

Review of Highlander's Embrace by Amy Isan

Alpha Male: Not really.. . 

When the Laid of Clan McKenzie is assassinated, his son Gavin, leaves his home in search of the King of Scotland, for help in seeking revenge against the rival Clan, the MacDonald's. Gavin believed that the McDonald's are guilty of slaughtering his father out of revenge for the kidnapping of their daughter, Elyn. 

Along the way to see the sing Gavin comes across Elyn. She doesn't know who she is and neither does Gavin, however they band together to see the King, to plead for the McKenzie clan, and Elyn's family, who have been held hostage. 

However, much more sinister plots are unravelling by the page as Elyn and Gavin fight for country, honour and Love... 


This highlander novel was not like most I've read. For one, the heroine, Elyn, is a flame-haired, feisty chick who's very willing to go into battle, especially to save the ones she loves. she doesn't care about doing hard work or looking filthy. On the other side, the hero was not very confident, he believes that everything was his fault pretty much most of the book, and then finds his fight. That being said, both characters were very flawed, and therefore much more realistic. 

The romance between the couple was nice.. not a bad thing, but i did feel in places it lacked passion. 

The story was a delight to read, very imaginative and I liked how the author used fictional characters as well as incorporating the real life King.
